Guided tours of Toulouse are available from French Adventures. Private or group tours can be scheduled on your French holiday. One of Toulouse's most famous landmarks is St-Sernin, the world's largest Romanesque church, built in the 11th century to house pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela in Spain. At night, visitors can see St-Sernin's five-tier octagonal tower aglow against the starry night sky.

The French Cathedrale St-Etienne features a fine collection of 16th- and 17th-century tapestries depicting the life of St. Stephen. The city's oldest fountain is in front of the cathedral, built in the 16th century.

For fine dining, visitors can spend a romantic night out at Michel Sarran. Michel Sarran is an upscale restaurant in Toulouse featuring light but flavorful foods including foie-gras soup with belon oysters and sea bass. The Toulousy-Jardins de l'Opera is an elegant restaurant featuring intimate rooms, glass ceilings and massive chandeliers.

The Musee Toulouse-Lautrec was once a fortress and has now been transformed into a museum to honor the painter Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, who was famous for colorful and tumultuous depictions of the lifestyle found in Montmartre. The museum features over 1,000 works of art, including painting by Georges de la Tour and Francesco Guardi.

The Musee Ingres is located in a chateaux that was once the residence of Edward the Black Prince. The museum features paintings from many world-renowned artists. There are several chateaux properties to rent or holidays to catered chateaux in the area.

The Cathedrale Ste-Cecile features cliff like walls and offers unique architecture. The cathedral's interior is surprisingly ornate in comparison to the structure's outer walls. The interior features paintings from Maestro Donnelli and a team of 16th century Italian artists.
