Languedoc-Roussillon is an area in southern France which is known for its art treasures, beautiful coastline and sandy beaches. Languedoc-Roussillon is an exotic area of France, with its marshy deltas, rolling plains and endless sandbars.

Aigues-Mortes is a medieval city made up of cobbled streets; the city itself is still enclosed in ramparts. Aigues-Mortes' Tour de Constance looks out over the nearby marshes. The top of the Tour de Constance can be reached by elevator and allows visitors to get a panoramic view of the surrounding marshland. Bullfights are popular in the Aigues-Mortes area, and many small fights can be seen free of charge. For a more impressive show, bullfights can also be seen in Arles at the Amphitheatre.

In Albi, visitors can stop at the Cathédrale Ste-Cécile, a 13th-century cathedral built by a local lord-bishop following the crusade against the Cathars. The cathedral features a 16th-century rood screen and unique statues depicting characters from the Old and New Testaments. Classical concerts are also held in the cathedral each summer.

The Port Town of Sete is the location of the Mediterranean's largest fishing port. Sete features a unique blend of Art Deco and Second Empire architecture. Sete sits on limestone rock, and the slopes of Mont Saint-Clair can be seen in the distance. Sete is made up of a system of canals that have often been compared to those of Venice.
